The North Carolina Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company was incorporated September 13, 1953 under the laws of North Carolina, and first conducted business on October 2 of that year. With its home office in Raleigh, the company has become the largest domestic property and casualty insurer in the state. As a mutual insurance company, we are owned and controlled by our policyholders through an elected board of directors. Our company is an affiliate of the North Carolina Farm Bureau Federation, a non-profit membership organization representing the agricultural interests of our state.
